Real-time support in moments of overwhelm with On-demand support
A quick guide to Brain in Hand’s On-demand support — helping users access real-time reassurance and practical guidance when they need it most.
Sometimes individuals may feel so overwhelmed or anxious that it becomes difficult to continue with everyday tasks. In those moments, on-demand support is available through the Brain in Hand app, giving them access to a real person when they need it.
Watch this short walkthrough to see how the On-demand support works in the app:
How it works
From the home screen, the individual can tap the life ring icon to request support (this should never be used as a replacement for emergency services). Once a request is made, a supporter will respond within 30 minutes. The request can also be cancelled if it was selected by accident or if the person feels calmer before support begins.
Support is provided in the preferred format, either by text message or phone call. The supporter can see helpful context such as the person’s calendar events, check-ins, and strategies already tried, meaning the individual does not need to explain everything from the beginning.
The conversation focuses on helping the person feel steady enough to continue with their day, and it will only end once they feel comfortable to do so.
